Regional Chat is great for us, especially if you want to meet or talk to people in your immediate area or region. If a person wants to be involved in meets car shows or big events they would have to search each region for information as opposed to one wide open forum, open to all for discussion. As for instance, If I want to post about Sturgis mustang rally, I would put it into a specific region. Only the people in that region would discuss it unless it was posted to all other regions for separate discussion. I was thinking of one place to post main events and maybe TMS meets for future use. This is only an idea for thought, not a request. PS TMS is great.

This is something I was thinking about before as well. However I was thinking of a website that has all the car events nationwide but TMS could be facilitate this as well. It would be easy for people to post about an event in TX in their regional events but most of us do not have a time to go through all the regional threads. Is there a way for when someone posts in one of the regional threads to have a calendar on TMS for events?

Much like outlook where I can look at a full month and see multiple events maybe we could then click on that event and be taken to that regional thread. That way you don't have the same info multiple times but there is a one stop shop where people can look and say, "hmm..for April 28 there is an event in TX. Even though I am in Ohio I could take some vacation time and go there for some fun for a change." That would be a huge help and something unique from other sites in that you would have a comprehensive place for anyone to see events all over the nation. Other car clubs, regional people or national organizations could all then post first in their region but have it linked to the calendar.

There would need to be required info like date, time, WHAT IT IS NEAR, etc. I emphasis that last one as I see a lot of events talking like we are all from there and have been going to these events for years. I have lived in some of the places mentioned and never heard of some of the events. It makes it real difficult to make reservations or plan a trip. Ok, done rambling...
