You probably already have this in mind, but as I begin thinking of my '05 purchase (if I am employed) I could really use this site for advice and info to take with me to the dealership:

Price I should pay
Options I should get or avoid
Ford plans and warranty stuff I should get or avoid
After market recommendations ("Gee, Fordfan #1 I took your advice and got the base model stereo so I could upgrade after-market. What brand stereo would you suggest I look at?")
Lessons people learn that I can benefit from

I know there's already a lot of that stuff here, but it's buried in all the "I can't wait! Do you think Ford will offer X?" threads.

Because of your site, Brad, I already know more than my local sales person about this car. But I'd like any additional ammo I can get - in one easy-to-find forum or "advice from the masters" page.

Thanks!

Definately have actual invoice and holdback in both American and Canadian $$$ when info becomes available.

Also, possibly something to keep track of prices paid & features/options of members who buy the cars to see what cars are being sold for. Simplist way would just be a simple sticky thread.

Exactly what I was hoping for, guys!

I also want to be able to match up with all the other 05 shoppers in my geographic region. I know of at least three here where I live in San Diego, but I bet there are dozens if I can unite with every one in all of Orange, San Diego and LA counties. Forget the X plan or A plan. We'll create The Nazgul Plan - the plan that has twenty So Cal buyers walk in and ask to see one specific, highly recommended sales person and we're all ready to write him checks - if he treats us fairly. For a half-million dollars business in one day, will we get a deal? We'd better.
