Sig size

In response to sig lengths being shortened I'd like to see how many people are actually bothered by sigs like mine. I personally think my sigs quite helpful as it provided pics of several different mods.

I agree. I think that the sigs are VERY helpful, as people can see what you have done and PM if needed to get more details, as not every mod is "mentioned" in a thread on TMS.

I think that there should be a limit, but not 10 lines. What about 20 lines, or 25 lines? 10 is just too short

I agee . If people think that they're too long, then just don't read them...

Or turn them off.

They are very helpful - I get PMs all the time from people wanting more info on my mods because they could link to pics in my sig.

NO!!!!!!!!!!

I HATE pics in sigs. THAT is annoying, as it's hard to tell what's part of the thread, and what's the sig.

I like em. And if I see a reason, I'll look at them for a specific item. Say, I see an apearance mod that I'm curious about. If I find it in the sig, it saves me and the poster from PMing back and forth. So unless the site guys have a problem with space or whatever why not leave em. We do after all love to talk about our cars, and the sig is sort of an extension of that.
I keep thinking I need to start up my sig. It wouldn't be real long right now.

I think some of the sigs do get out of hand! I think ten lines is too short though, but it doesn't affect me much!

Frankly, I was disappointed when sig length was truncated.

And did you know that if you don't like seeing sigs, you can always choose not to by simply turning them off in your User CP/Edit Options/Thread Display Options?

I knew you did.

I agree, maybe the limit should be font size.

I agree with this more than length. I find the Sigs with very LARGE fonts to be more annoying than the long informative ones with links.

Thanks for the increase Scott. The limits now 20 lines for TMS members not sure if it's been bumped for non-members. Either way support the site become a member.

I tried to add another mod to my sig right after the limit was put in place, and no matter what I did, even though the sig only showed as 7 or 8 lines, it kept telling me I was over the 10 line limit. I finally had to shorten it so much I just put the link to the thread I've been posting my mods in. Now that it's back to 20 lines, I might have to re-do it with my mods, and see if the system likes it.
