Lately I have been experiencing an intermittent problem when trying to access the 2005 forums. It happened last night around 9:30pm EST. When I tried to open the forums I got an error page showing a bunch of MYSQL statements, and an error about too many connections being opened at the same time. Last night it lasted for over an hour. Anyone else have these issues ?

It's because Brad and the '05 Mustang are just so dang popular...

Gee, what a nice problem to have, eh Brad?

It is caused by there simply being too much traffic for the server to handle. That's why you see the Donation link in my signature. Please let me know if you have a lead on a company that might want to advertise here.

It's funny, everytime it happens I think that there must be some big, late breaking news that was released, and that the site is so busy that it shuts down connections. Or .. another thought came into my head last night .... maybe those Vette dudes are pinging the daylights out of Brad's site in retaliation for the Mustang beating the Vette out at the Forbes site

It has happened quite a few times to me also; sometimes you have to keep trying, I think the board is so popular that it gets overloaded! I have also gotten on by re-bootin my computer before ! sometimes...... refresh button! sometimes ...nothing! Does'nt take much. could be your settings, or even firewall.
I have Norton firewall. sometimes I have to uninstall, then install again to get things to work. Don't ask me why. Computers?
You'll also notice that there is a link at the bottom of that message to get a hold of the site administrator..... that's Brad! ......... uall out there Brad?

If you get the error message, rest assured I am on my way to my computer to initiate a reboot. Wait 15 minutes after the first error message and it will probably be back up. Unless its between 12am-5am CST, it will be about 30mins because my cellphone (which is the last notification) will wake me up so I can reboot it.

That is what you call dedication! Good job Nathan

Whenever that white screen appears, I descend, Orpheus* like, into depression and have to mooch around other sites until this one comes back up, then everything is ok again!

(* quiz question, who did Opheus rescue from the underworld?)

I get the same thing alot, and figured it was just because the site is so popular and so many people are awaiting news on the 05s hittin the lots.

I'm a Super Stallion and donated, and hope everyone else does too! Well worth it to keep this site going.

Hopefully some of the companies who'll make aftermarket stuff will realize the potential for the audience they can reach here by advertising on the site.

What OS is the computer with the problem running? (98, 2000, XP?)

If it is XP, try this...

Click on Start then Run
A new window pops up. Type in cmd and click OK.
The DOS emulation prompt pops up.
At the prompt type this phrase exactly without quotes:
"ipconfig /flushdns"
Now restart the computer and try the forums.
