I just want to clear up a few things on how this happens and how you come to actually be one.
My job as administrator here on TMS is to keep this place running as smooth as possible. It is my responsibility to the staff, Brad, and the members of the forum to make decisions I feel will best benefit the forum as a whole and take it one step farther towards making it a better place.
None of my staff asked to be a moderator on the site at all. None of them mentioned [took out 'about'] it would be cool to be one. All of them were chosen by Brad and/or me. All were however in 100% agreement between him and me before they were asked to be a moderator. Now all moderator decisions are made between ALL of the staff, Brad and myself and have to be a 100% agreement between us all.
Reasons for being asked to be a moderator in any form:
1) You bring a lot to the forum. Quality.
2) You carry yourself in a manner in which not to be the center of attention, but a key player in the overall scheme. You will get enough attention after being made a mod. Trust me.
3) The staff has never had to deal with a situation regarding you.
4) Previous experience as a moderator on another forum.
5) Ability to convey your thoughts in a rational and intelligent fashion.
6) Must have a sense of humor (this is a high ranking skill in my book)
7) Time. I spend a lot of time here on this site every day. More than I should honestly. It is like a 2nd job for me in which I love every minute, but it doesn’t pay. This is purely voluntary from all the staff members and not a single one will tell you it’s a breeze to do.
That’s just some of the things I look for in a member when I am keeping an eye out for new staff members. Also I would like to say, that while being around the forum for some time is a great thing to help you get a feel of it and helps me get a feel of how you are, post count and join date don’t matter as much as some may think.
Just thought I would put some of my thoughts out there for you guys to know where I come from on some of my decisions.
Scott

Thank Scott, that answered a few of the questions I had but were too afraid to ask... others include:
What is the meaning of life? Are hot dogs actually made from dog? What part of a chicken is considered a nugget? etc...

Just alot of stuff I have read throughout the past weeks and it started to annoy me. Plus i figured it was something that inquiring minds want to know.

Both you ladies are among the coolest here... Amy V6 great photographer for the site, and April... ummm, well, ummm you're ... entertaining.
I agree with holderca1, the meaing of life is 42, although for me it seems to be 40 and 3/8ths (I always get shorted)... and dude, do you really wanna know what part is the nugget, I found out and I won't eat 'em anymore (shudder).
there are MORE out there, holy jebus, are they as cool as this one B)
