I have a similar problem in that instant reply threads that I am currently signed into don't send out an e-mail. I will go days without a post and then look into my "userCP" folder and see a bunch of unread posts. I eventually have to unsubscribe and resubscribe to get posts. Then a couple of weeks later it starts all over with no posts in my e-mail.

Hello,

Thank you for your report. We sincerely apologize for our delay in getting
back to you.

Our engineers have been working hard to make improvements to Gmail,
including the slowness you described. We'd like to know if you're still
affected by this issue - if so, please respond to this message and provide
us with the following information:

- Do you (still) experience this on other browsers?

- Do you (still) experience this on other computers?

As a temporary solution, you can directly log in to the 'Older version' of
Gmail through the following link: http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=1

The slowness you have been experiencing should not be present in this
version.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

I've been seeing this issue for a while too. In all of forums I subscribe to this is the only one where I'm seeing significant delays in receiving notification of a PM. The delays I'm seeing right now are probably 8 hours. As an example I received a PM today in the mid-afternoon. Here it is at around 11pm local time and I just received the e-mail notification no more than a half hour ago...

Same issue here... I get some, don't get others. The ones that get through are delayed a couple hours at least.
