I just thought it would be a nice place to put threads solely related to Drag racing. It would be nice place for people, interested, in looking at times, timeslips, related mods, etc. Just a thought!

 

I like that idea... I went to the track tonight for the 2nd time, first time with my mods. My best time was 13.7@104mph

...Are you talking about a general Racing section to the forums, for all model years? I wouldn't limit it to simply drag racing, there's a few lucky people with access to full circuit tracks. Then maybe we could allow the street racers to do their thing in there as well, even if most of us don't agree with that hobby.

 

I agree! I don't mean to be narrow minded. On some other forums, they have a Racing forum with sub-categories, drag racing, circle track/road racing, street racing or street kills. Or Road racing, drag racing, and a general lounge for the street kills. Another is On the street, on the track. There are plenty of people that race on either and it would put those in one place. Just an idea!

I personally think there are a lot of subforums already. Since most of the drag racers here are GT guys, maybe those posts should be in the GT Tech & Performance area.

What about those racing that don't have 05s? You could probably include it as a whole section by itself, not limiting it to the types or model year (although it seems the 05 forums are the ones with all the action)... Either that or have it as a subforum to the General Mustang Chat section. I agree that it is mostly Tech & Performance related, but I don't think it should be limited to the 05 boards.

 

Sorry for posting in the wrong section. I don't venture outside the 05 section too often.

 

There has been a sanctioned drag racing forum as a part of the Ford Motorsport forum that hardly gets any traffic. How about you guys use that and I will list it as dragracing.
