The new version of Invision Power Board automatically subscribes you to topics in which you post, and sends you an email when someone replies. To turn this off, go to your Control Panel, click on Email Settings, and uncheck "Enable 'Email Notification' by default?"

Okay, no notification by email but still subscribed. Is there going to be a change so we aren't automatically subscribed to every thread or is it just one of those go with the flow things?

If you leave it in your e-mail options to not send an e-mail, it will be fine when its check marked to send one.

Thanks Scott! Hope this works. I'm tired of getting e-mails and checking to see who could possibly want to talk to me only to see it's nobody!
