We haven't had any contact with the vendors yet. We are waiting to get all the details from Brad first. Once we have all those details we will reach out to them and I expect that to happen soon.
At some point we are just going in circles. I understand that you guys don't like the Google ads and we will do everything we can to minimize them.

I just heard the cars are being delayed because Sync is being outfitted with Google Ads. Every time the clutch is pressed, a new ad will display in your mirrors and skip shift will lock you in gear until you press the 'info' button to release it.

I've never cared as long as the *bulk* of the messages can be deal with.
Unlike MustangForums, what not only take forever to load, comparitively, but also the ads are *insidious* and in the way.
I'll take what we got just fine, thanks.

Weird. I'm only seeing one additional ad (the footer), and not having any speed issues.
I do miss the vendors being here. Hopefully they get back on soon. Brenspeed vs Bama vs Tillman threads are a part of TMS culture.
I sincerely hope they get back on here quickly. Close interaction w/ a lot of the vendors is one of the things that really makes TMS the best Mustang site on the net. We really can't lose that. If we're just going for sheer volume, etc then I'd just go hop on stangnet or something, but I'm really not a fan of those types of sites. This site made me a Mustang enthusiast more than the car itself. I've learned a bunch here and enjoy the community that's the right size to bring in tremendous wealth of knowledge without being so big that it loses it's sense of community. Hopefully that sense of community doesn't get destroyed by the site turning into a product instead of a community. I liked being able to click and get to great vendors like SilverHorseRacing and Brenspeed, and knowing that I could pick up the phone and the person at the other end would be Marcello or Brent. I'll never be calling AT&T unless my U-verse quits working (ATT ad at bottom right now).
Edit: oh, and thank God I'm not seeing those mid page ads. Those are annoying as hell and have always caused me to find a different website. Maybe the way TMS has been run over the last several years has us spoiled.

More important things to take care of. I think it's time everyone give the new owners a break and reserve the complaints once everything gets settled. In case you haven't noticed, all of the staff under the old ownership is still here under the new ownership. We didn't all suddenly get amnesia and forget what makes this place "work" in terms of our members and the community. Jon and Nathan can attest that "the old staff" is working hard to make the transition a smooth one and ensure this forums "way of life" isn't disrupted too much.
So everybody, drink an adult beverage and take a chill pill, because this duck looks calm on the surface but there's a lot more going on underwater.
