A Whole Different Scene
Hi, everybody!
(Hi, Dr. Nick)
Anyways, I'm pretty new to the Ford scene as I grew up a diehard Chevy fan. While, I am still a fan, GM is just not offering anything that I am interested in at this point and time unless you say Vette, but that's not in the cards at this time. I've had a handful or German cars, and a couple Subarus. My only Domestic owned was a 2010 Dodge Ram R/T with 4.10 gears fully loaded. This truck was a blast, and I loved it. Spending 100 a week on gas was the part I didn't like. That's when I decided to buy the Subaru mentioned below.
I just bought a 2012 Mustang 5.0 GT/CS and I am so excited. I just sold my 2011 Subaru WRX LTD due to a divorce and my current deployment. It had about 300AWHP and was a blast. I have been deciding on what car I should purchase for when I get back on(going to try and pick it up on R&R) R&R/Deployment. I was originally going to get a BMW 135i, and call it a day. Then I decided I wasted to stay Subaru and go get a new STI. I thought I was pretty set in my decision until I was on NASIOC doing some research. The 5.0 comes up in a lot of conversation there and so I start to do some homework. I asked myself what other car could compare at the same price level...
That's when I priced out a GT/CS with the HID's, Comfort pack, 3.73s, for considerably less than an STi. With the military sales, I was able to get it for about 33-34 and it could be a little less depending on what deals military sales offers before I pick it up. Money is in and I am locked into this car and I'm so excited. The car is pure sex, and can't wait to be behind the wheel of that beast.
I'm planning on revamping the suspension with control arms front and rear, sways, springs, adjustable dampening shocks, etc, etc. I also want the FRPP Whipple charger kit and I want to use Meth-Injection. The exterior is pretty much done with the CS package, and I may buy wheels and I will tint the car.
I'm currently in Afghanistan, and I take my leave in Feb, and come back to the states in May. I am set to get out soon, but we'll see. Thanks for reading my wall-o-text.
C/N I just wrote a bunch about how I ended up getting a bad *** car.
