Hello... long time lurker, first time poster here

I see the 05 test mule just about 3 times a week, sametimes, same places, when heading out to the gym I go to. I live equally 15 mins from the AAI plant in Flat Rock and Rouge plant in Dearborn, life is sweet Any who....

This past Monday, I did follow the 05 V6 test mule of the Vert. And of course, didn't have my camera. But still ended up following it for 50 miles and calling some friends on FordPower and telling them to post up about it.

Well, yesterday... accidently ran into the 05 coupe mule when my friend and I were done at the gym and heading over to the Sportsmans Den to grab some lunch.

I got it on tape this time And had a lovely run in with the test driver hahaha.

And yes, that is me and my friend being all giggley... it was my birthday yesterday and we were in a crazy mood haha so pay no mind to it

Here's a snippet of a post I made about it...

"The lady is FULL OF IT!! There are NO SIGNS stating you can not takes pictures of test mule cars. AND she was on a public street. It would've been different if she was on Ford property and I pulled in there.

If she had asked me on Monday if I was following her, then yes, yes I was... BUT she was still on a public street and I was not following her too closely.

My uncle works for GM and does testings on their mules. If they are driving out in the public on a public street, there is nothing they can do. The cops won't do anything.

I still can't believe she cut me off in the parking lot Bawhahaha. Was about ready to pull into that spot and she pulls in there.. so, instead of pulling forward, I hit reverse and got next to her and she said "If you think that taking pictures of this car and following me isn't illegal, then there is something wrong with you." I laughed and said "Well Ma'ma... looks like you're the one following me now, as I am trying to pull into a parking spot and have lunch here."

Hope you all enjoy it Here's some recent pics of taken of it. Not sure why she got all huffy about it... I wasn't following her closely at all.. AND we've already seen the final product.

These first 2 pics are in Dearborn on Michigan Ave, near a Lincoln dealership in their reserve lot... behind it is part of Greenfield Village, it's not far from Southfield.

And this is the picture I took when we were pulling into the Sportsman Den for lunch. There's a golf course and a little wedding chapel there, that's why the parking lot is so huge.


They take the exact same travel route each time. Saw what looked like an F 250 or an F 350 tester there too when we were leaving.

hey I thought the rear pic of that stang looked a little amazingly too plain. "no badge on it" Its amazing to see, just how much the center gas cap badge really finishes off the car!

The vert test mule that I followed on Monday had some damage to it. It had the 99+ taillights on it and trust me... they don't fit all too well

And it had HUGE, bigger than the production ones, fog lights in the grill. They were blue tinted. Almost looked like they snagged them from Lowes and popped them on.

 

Imagine it with a Honeycomb Panel between those lights! Schweet! Oh, and sorry Amy, I Musta been postin' when you did?

 

Hey Amy- I was wonering if you were able to take a good look at the 05's convertible top. Do you think its just the same 04' top mech. Or does it look new?

Nice vid and welcome to the boards! That lady seems like a real B-----, There was absolutely no valid reason for her to be so protective of the mule.

 

That old hag was probably the wife of some Ford big wig. F her and her little dog too.

 

I love how in those first two pics it looks so short and bulky. Perfect look. However in other pics it looks all stretched out.
