Ok hey everyone I just recently bought a 2014 mustang ROUSH stage 1 it was a special order car I have all original paper work. I’m the second owner the car has 46,000 miles on it. It has a lot of stage 2 upgrades on it I don’t know much about the ROUSH just wondering if anybody has any info on these car such as horsepower. Is there any thing different mod wise on this car than on a 14 gt any info would be really helpf
ul
I have the Stage 2 version, and I special ordered mine as well.
The Stage 1 is basically a Mustang GT with the Roush appearance additions. It typically comes with a set of stock Mustang wheels and tires ordered on the car from Ford unless one of the optional tire packages are added. The ones on yours I do not believe are a set of Ford stock wheels, but I am not sure. They are not Roush wheels as far as I can tell.
Since you mentioned the car has many Stage 2 additions, it will likely have some handling modifications. The Stage 2 is the Appearance modifications, with a full gambit of suspension handling options. Shocks, Struts, Springs, and stabilizer bars. The Stage 2 package lowers the car about 1.5 inches. There are also optional pieces, some I see on yours, like the hood scoop, striping, and quarter panel window louvers and probably more that I am not seeing.
As to horsepower on the Stage 1 and 2, they would have been delivered with the stock drive train. So 420hp and 390 ft lbs of Torque at the crank. Any boosts in HP/Torque would have been done by the previous owner after purchase.
Thanks for the info I understand a lot more about it now. Tonight will be the first night I took it to the track really interested to see what it does.
I love cars in general as well. Not a fanboy to any brand.
Before buying this one, I was kinda set on buying a Z06/Z07 Corvette. But, the Mustang community and aftermarket kinda won out. lol
