Jon, thanks for the info. My dealer is "checking the report". The good news....the ERL moved my build date to week of 8/8. Rumor has it that '06 production was moved up two weeks???? Is your unit still scheduled for 8/22?

I delivered one on a customer's birthday a couple weeks ago complete with red bow. She was impressed.

 

Ed - now that's the way to do it! I hope my dealer wil do a little something to mark the occasion for me too. It would be a nice touch.

I know I'll get plenty of mid-life crisis jokes about this car (I'm 46). But it is the Mustang I have always wanted - since I was 17. It just took me this long to get it!

BTW, brother - you have great taste in Mustang colors!

 

I was asked in another thread about my other Mustangs, so I am trying to dig up some photos Here's a look at my '69, a few months after I bought it.

Here's the back 3/4 view, taken right after I bought it in October 1976. It had an aftermarket side view mirror. I later replaced that with the correct original from a salvage yard.

She was originally green from the factory. The black paint job came before I bought her. Because of her stripes, I have always been partial to thin-thick-thin. The original buyer probably ordered the Grandé for the interior, I guess, but skimped on the options. No console, and no A/C! That was not fun during SE Virginia summers.

 

Got me a VIN going to call ERL tomorrow to see if I got a build date. IYAOYAS

 

Got my VIN from the dealer today - last 6 are 100581.

 

I got a production week of 8/8 yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jon - 581 and my 607.... talk about close. I know they dont produce in exact sequence but wouldn't that be cool if mine was right behind yours?

I just checked with the ERL, and she has now moved my build date to week of 8/15. :bang:

Maybe I should simply NOT pick up the phone. I called the ERL this morning, and now I am back to August 22nd again!

I wonder what this issue is that is causing AAI to move it around.

 

It's update time, folks. ERL tells me this morning as of 8/25 I am locked in for production week of 8/22!

 

We're getting there! Congrats on the build day, that's the day after my birthday. I'm locked in for tomorrow, the 17th. My car's birthday will be exactly one week before mine.

 

That is terrific, brother! Soon we shall be cruising - to the gas station!

 

I want a nanner! Scheduled build week of 8/29/05. I didn't get my 05, dealer is giving me same deal for an 06. Priority Code 10.
