Old Lemon
Checking back in after taking a few years off from TMS. Didn't own a Mustang before, thought I was gonna pull the trigger on something new, didn't happen, years pass. Y'know, like you do.
Now I find myself about 16 months deep in one of the cheapest high-mileage'd garage-painted Craigslist Mustang V8 rust-heaps I could find:
...and it's been pretty fun, actually. Great bang for the buck! Interior is in good shape, the cruise & A/C still work, the 5-speed keeps it fun and since one of the (undoubtedly many) previous owners put straightpipes on her, she is LOUD.
H&R Supersport springs, Steeda Bumpsteer kit, Maximum Motorsports Pinion Snubber and camber bolts have been acquired in the pursuit of Low. I was just about to pull the trigger on the Bilstein HD shocks when I decided (on a whim!) to have my local mechanic look at an oil leak: yep, she's weeping from the passenger-side cam cover, the oil pan gasket is leaking slightly and apparently there's an issue with my timing chain cover? Jesus.
So... where do I put my build thread?

140K is still a baby, as long as your not driving it into the ground and have no internal damages e.g compression, etc and take care of it it will last you a 100K more , I have a 2000 Explorer with 387,789 original motor, I only use it for grocery shopping since I live far from the closest supermarket and you can't fit much in a Mustang
