Question Newbie here from Texas.

Hi all. Just picked up my first Mustang since my old 67 fastback and man how things have changed. Love the car and really am enjoying it. The only problem I have (not a real problem just looking for an answer) is the owner's manual says you can turn on/off the 'Shaker' (sub) but I have found no way to do that on the Shaker 500 system. Scroll through the Sound section and Shaker System never shows up like they say it should in the manual. Anybody have any experience with this issue?

Welcome to the forum. I'm pretty new myself, but I have the shaker 500 in my car, too. The only way to turn off the subs I know of is to turn down the bass in the audio settings. I've searched everywhere, and there is no sub on/off toggle like aftermarket radios usually have. If you really want to turn them off for good, the sub amp is in the driver kick panel area. You could just unplug the wiring harness from the amp. The black connector should be the input, but it shouldn't hurt anything to unplug both if you'd like. I'm not sure if the sub amp is fused separately where you could just pull the fuse. I'll have to look at that on my car. You could also get real fancy and find the power wire for the amp and stick a switch inline with it.

Welcome from Denton, Tx.

It would be helpful to know a little more about your car...mostly the year model. But in any case, turning the Shaker on/off is for the Shaker 1000. It turns off the trunk subs. On the Shaker 500, you'll just have to turn the bass down.

Haha yeah. I'm actually out in Stephenville about 30 minutes west, but I'm in Granbury every day.
You got the cobra up and running again yet?
