Just bought a 2010 Mustang GT SVT. Car is beautiful and unreal fast but the only thing I know about SVT is that it stands for
Special Vehicle Team. The car was pulled off the line to add special performance parts but what I dont have a clue! Thats it,
thanks for reading and I hope to be part of this forum for a long time. Thanks
I Don't See The SVT Connection on Visual But Do See a Roush Logo on Windshield. A Vin Would Shed Some Light if You Want to Send it to clevparts@aol.com. Some More Pictures of Powertrain & Interior Would Be Helpful as Well! Any Tags Which Look Added On From Roush Etc. Could Be Helpful. The Tail Emblem is Also Often Telling.
Where Did The SVT Connection Stem From?? Usually any 2nd Party Conversions are Emblazoned With Their Logo Here & There. Now a Car That Was Modified After the Fact By Say a Roush or Shelby Dealer May Just Have Upgraded Parts Less Any Of The Logo's, Nice Car We Shall See What We can Figure Out!
Is That an Added Logo on The Grille Next To Pony???
Ran the VIN. Says the frontgrill is unique??? Special emblems on the grill. Striping is unique?? The rear end gears are 323 or 355 or 373 but doesnt say which?
I know its NOT 373!
Appears To Be Standard Gt From What I Can See. Any Mods Performed Would Need To Be Seen To Draw any Conclusions as To Any Conversion Process Done On Car! As An FYI The SVT Emblems are on The Airbag Cover. During Deployment Might Be an Issue to Passenger! Just a thought! Decal Would Be Preferable.

The only SVT models in the S197 line-up are the Shelby GT500's produced from 2007-2014... Take a look at your engine, if it is not a 5.4L-5.8L 4v 6spd manual with Ford Performance/Eaton supercharger, it is not a factory production SVT variant, but rather a modified Mustang GT...

Yeah, I was told that a buyer could request a performance part and have it put on a GT Mustang that would normally go on a direct SVT car.
If that makes sense.

Performance parts, yes! However, buyers cannot request having an SVT engine such as the Shelby GT500 5.4L or 5.8L 4v installed by a Ford dealer on a Mustang GT.... Therefore, once again, if your engine is not a 5.4L or 5.8L 4v engine, your vehicle is NOT an SVT/Shelby GT500, but rather a modified Mustang GT with factory 4.6L 3v engine...
yeah pretty sure it is a 2010 GT with SVT stickers added ... it might have some SVT parts such as GT-500 take-off wheels (I have those on my 2010 and they say SVT on the center caps)
if you can post some more pictures of the car; including an interior shot showing the seats, steering wheel, dashboard; side view showing the wheels and front brakes; and a shot of the engine bay; we can help figure out what factory options and aftermarket modifications it has
also I think KC can help you get the original window sticker, or I believe you can get one with a carfax report for $20 (confirm first before buying the carfax)
