Newbie from Guernsey, Channel Islands.
Hi All,
I own a 2008 Vista Blue GT answering to "Misty".
I bought the car from Bill Shepherd Mustang in Weybridge, UK in Jan 2009. It was originally brought to the UK into RAF/US Lakenheath.
I've lowered the suspension, upgraded the brakes - pads, discs and fluids, converted to HIDS and added some cosmetic parts, but basically a stock looking mustang.
I live in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, UK, and the summer coastal speed limit is 25mph! (35mph in the other seasons). There isn't a car produced that is happy doing only these speeds, and so everybody breaks the law at some point. But we have only one handheld speed camera and a word of mouth communication system that means you cannot break wind on side of the Island without the other side knowing about it.
Everybody with petrol in their veins takes regular trips to England and especially France where the heavy foot and loud pedal is more applicable.
There is meant to be at least one of every car ever produced on the Island and the car to person ratio statistic is 2.5 cars per person. There are a lot of private car collections!

Update
I guess I tempted fate.
Caught speeding last night. 52mph in a 35mph for 200 metres on a straight road, at midnight with only one other car (other than the Old Bill) on the road! But them there are the laws.
So that will be a fine, several months off the road and named & shamed in the local paper.
The wife got off with a caution in the morning on the way to work!
