This blurb off Car and Driver's website previw for the NYAS:

"With the 40th anniversary of the Mustang just a few weeks away, Ford is rumored to be showing a hot-rod concept of the upcoming 2005 sports car, which will likely feature a high-powered V-8, big brakes, and huge wheels."

On the bright side. If the new supra costs that much. There will be far fewer ricers putting big wings on them

If I'm not mistaken a few weeks after they announced the Supra might come to America, they announced that it would NOT becoming to America. Go figure, they don't see the market here for it.

That's odd that they don't see the market here for it. Since Nissan is going to bring over the skyline now. They also have the 350z. And even honda has the nsx.

Hey, got me. Dodge says there's no market for a RWD Coupe. But there's the Mustang and it's selling well The NSX won't be around much longer though.

A wing on a Civic is one thing....a wing on a late-model Supra could definetely be another.

hehe...there's no room for them anyway seeing as the mustang has it completely covered.

I do think that some competiton wouldn't hurt though.

I am going to the NYAS during the day! To try to avoid all the crowds that will be swarming around this car, in the peek hours!

Has anyone heard how many different "05'Mustangs" will be at this show? And has anyone heard a thing about the vert debut?

Hopefully Ford will be doing something special since the show falls around Mustangs 40th Birthday, on the 17th!

Hey I think it would be good press if Ford takes apart and reassembles an 05 Mustang on observation deck of the Empire State Building. Like they did 40 years ago!!!!!

For the love of god, if somebody goes, ask what the wheel bolt pattern is. Or at least ask which other ford cars use the same one so we can look it up.

Actually, the Infiniti G35 Coupe is the current-gen Nissan Skyline. They have Nismo parts in Japan for it that would fit the G35 perfectly, but they can't import them yet due to some regulation out there that has poly parts have to manufactured here in America.

Ha yeah, I love it when people say that they're bringing over the skyline when we have the future skyline before the japanese do!
