New from Washington

Hello I just bought a 1968 mustang coupe with a lot of work to be done. I would love any tips advice or help I can get. The mustang has the matching 289 from the vin and it runs strong. There is a lot of rust on the inside and outside. The interior is rough

Welcome,
If you have the time, money and garage space, I would strip it down, media blast it and start the sheet metal repair.

Thank you. Elk Grove what is media blasting? I was just planning on grinding out the rust/panel patching.

Media blasting is when they use a spray gun filled with one of many different types of material (from glass, to plastic, to almond shells) that blasts all the old paint, bondo, and rust off the car. ( you have to strip the car completely before you have this done.
I have done it too a couple cars, the only bad thing is sometimes you end up with a car that looks like Swiss cheese when your done. But that's the only way to truly see what needs o be replaced and repaired.
Google media blasting.

Alright thank you. I will look into that. It sounds like a great way to see all problems with the car. I will need to prove it out also. The first thing I'm going to do is to get front disc brakes so it's drivable the rust work.
