New Texas Member!
My name is Matt, I'm 17, and a senior in high-school. Mustangs may be my favorite car but I respect all muscle/pony cars, even the Camaro *gasp, I said the "C" word!* I own a 2006 Supercharged v6 Windveil Blue Coupe, and I'm working on a 1970 Mustang Fastback. I'm from Texas, way down south (20-30 minutes to Louisiana) . I'm not new to forums, but I'm new to this one. Just looking to make some friends and share and learn more about my car.
This link should bring you to some pictures of my car:

I taped off those stripes myself, so try not to bash them :/ .

If I left of RI sure enough somebody would be from there etc.
I guess we could say how many are from CA, TX, FL, NY/NJ, and then elsewhere.
Let me look at it...

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! And about the location poll, you could just start a thread for Username/Location and then after a certain number of people post(or after each one) simply add the names to a state/country list on the first post. You could even get a digital map and "pin" it where people are. Sounds like a project lol.

Well I'm on my phone so these are the only pics of the '70 I have. The first one is with how my car looked a couple months ago. It's a 351c. The exterior is looking really good, but the interior is lacking...a lot. It has seats and carpet an the basic things but the seats are horrible and the carpet is so far gone. The steering wheel has a huge crack and the dash is also cracking. The auto shifter doesn't want to work either. We've changed pretty much everything that keeps the car running out because the originals were all un-repairable. Rebuilt engine, gas tank, rear end, pans, etc. It runs nice now though.

Thanks, it is beautiful! My first car was a 1970 fastback 6cyl. The dash and the seats cracked on that one after 4 years. Paint also went bad pretty fast. I had a lot of fun in that car. Pics of yours really make me miss it. I may have to find one to resto, my wife will kill me.

Well my mom sure freaked out when me and my dad wanted to start this project together, she always complains about how we could have spent the money on buying a new mustang (my dad wants a boss) but there is just something Beautiful about classic cars, that no matter how bad they run(compared to cars with new technology of course) they are always special.

I kept putting off buying another Mustang until they reintroduced the new Boss, then I could not resist. My wife was not thrilled, but she didnt stop me. My dad was thrilled when I bought it (he is 86) as the 1970 is the car he and I shared when I was in high school. I went over and took him for a ride in the Boss the first week I had it. His comment, "this is a little faster than our 1970."
IMO the 1970 was the best body style ever, yours looks awesome. I agree that in spite of the technology and comfort of modern cars, the old ones are a blast. I have a friend restoring his 1969 Mach1 (351C, 4MT). I cannot wait to drive it.

Well I live about 40 mins from Lake Charles. I grew up in LA. Do people have mustang meets around Texas? Like big ones? I think the closest place that would have them would be in Houston or Austin and that's a few hours away..Anyone from the Texas area want to chime in?
