New from santa barbara California

Hey all hope this is the correct place for this introduction. My names devin I'm 24years old from sb California. I own a 08 v6 stock mustang which I bought in 09. It's got almost 40k miles on it and I love it. It also was and is my first car I saved up to buy. I love mustangs and it's my dream to restore a classic 64 mustang gt. I never was much of a car guy until the last couple of years. I love the mustang and I catch myself thinking of all the cool things to add to mine and about restoration almost every second of the day. Overhaulin has been my Netflix show of choice the last few weeks but ultimately I'm here to learn as much from you guys with experience as possible; I know jack about cars other than the basics. I WANT TO LEARN EVERYTHING.

Cheers to you all and hope I got this introduction thing down.
Will post pics of my car for the sake of it even though it's standard

Thanks all..... And just for my own knowledge take a look at this picture... Wikipedia said the first mustang was unveiled at the new York world fair in 1964 take a look at the picture I've posted.... Someone correct me if I'm wrong I'm just trying to get my facts correct...

The first Mustang appeared there in April of 1964. They went on sale immediately but they all carry 1965 model VINs. The first model built is a 1965.

Some refer to a 1964.5 model but there are no 1964.5 VINs so it's just an unofficial designation.

Heck even the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Mustangs have come out in the spring of 2009, 2010, and 2011 respectively.
