Hi there,
bought my 1st mustang 3 weeks ago.
it's a 2005 GT in Redfire
110000 miles and it's my daily driver
moved to the states 4 months ago from Europe so this is also my 1st American car
not my 1st V8 though as I had a Porsche 928S4 in the past

engine troubles
well that didn't last long 2500miles and engine troubles are starting.
knocking when hot and at low rpms due to low oil pressure.
was hoping to get more than 110k mile out of a V8.
used 33k replacement ordered from ebay vendor but will be upgrading the oil and water pump of that one before it goes in the car.
Not sure what else to replace ?
hoping the engine in there will last a bit longer before the change over. doesn't have a chance to get warm on the drive to work and back at least.

Swap done :)
Finally did the swap in my 05 Manual Mustang GT for an Ebay bought 47K miles motor. Had the water pump and oil pump changed on the 'new' one just to be safe. Engine was looked over by a tuning shop just to be sure it looked like it had only 47k miles on it. All seemed fine.
Had only 2 issues issue which were:
> Oil temp sensor in the sump is of a different design on both engines. Ended up swapping the oil sump from my old engine to the new.
> My original engine had a water block heater so that caused a few minutes of worry trying to figure out what that was and why the new engine didn't have it. Ended it up not putting that back and removing the wiring for it.
That's it.
Fitted a Ford Motorsport cold air intake, some Pypes X-pipe with cat delete and axle-back, as well a tune for 93 fuel (needed for intake, cat delete, and exhaust and 93)
Will be taking the exhaust stuff off and going back to stock next weekend cause it's just to loud for a daily driver.
