New from NorCal
Hey everyone. I bought my ‘06 GT almost 8 years ago and am only just starting to mod! I’ve never had any time to work on it and living in the city with street parking definitely creates a challenge to get things done but I am just so tired of her being stock. I’ve been browsing through the forums for a while now looking for ideas on what I can do and I want to thank everyone for sharing their thoughts, opinions and creations for the world to see – helping guys like me get started.
I hope to bring a perspective of someone who tries to take care of their Stang in a city where crime is frequent (I’ve had my window smashed 4 times here and door pried open once as well as someone keying across my entire hood!) and where door dings and bumper dents from parking are common place. Washing the car traditionally and doing any kind of work is difficult but I’m finding ways to complete tasks.
I have an ’06 Vista Blue GT and am going for the black and blue, stealth look (black and smoked pieces all over with tiny bits of chrome to break it all up). I also love 1st gen Stangs so I will be incorporating a lot of throwback touches to make mine stand out. I’ve only done some cosmetic stuff recently but have a lot of ideas for power and performance – after I hit the dyno for a base.
Thanks again and I look forward to reading and writing more posts.

Soon I'll be throwing on my side louvers, scoops and smoked turn signals. I'll shoot some pics then. I haven't had the damage fixed on the hood because I'm looking to get a new one (trying to track down a CS6 style hood from a reputable seller). Dents in the door aren't bothering me as of yet.
