new to muscle
Hey everyone I'm new to the muscle scene. I will be buying with in the next week or two a 2015 gt 5.0. And I figured I would get a bit informed here on it before I pull the trigger! I'm getting rid of my rice burner (veloster turbo) bc it just doesn't feel like a beast, and Hyundai won't stand by their warrenty if you even add a dang intake! And well I'm way past that tuned and all! And engines been blowing like crazy!
So now I'm ready for a muscle car! I used to wrench on Ford's and chevys back in the day and want to try it again. I heard roush is certified under warrenty for mods? If so I will be looking to super charge the bad boy after a while, but was wondering what the most hp and tq a 5.0 automatic tranny can handle? Or if there's a rebuild kit to handle the tq (Wife won't let me get manual only way I can talk the boss into letting me get a 5.0, she will wreck it I'm sure)
So what's a 5.0 also laying down with bolt ons and just a tune? To start off. Or what mods are best to start off with??
I'm also in the Chicago area so if you know of any good shops around here would be a help! Thanks everyone

Welcome! I don't usually reply to these intro threads but I didn't want you to feel left out. I think the best mods to start with is suspension. I think theses cars look good and go pretty fast right out of the box. Even having said that, I recommend driving it stock for a few months first. See what bothers you and then research how to best improve that attribute.

welcome! Sound and suspension will add more smiles per buck to begin with in my opinion. The roush s/c option down the line sounds pretty safe. I've been watching the boards for a couple years now and roush kits seem very respectable on a 5.0.
