New guy here, and another from the Rock Auto newsletter suggestion. Love Rock Auto...
My hobby, is basically cars and always has been. I've had many different makes and models of sports and muscle cars. Right now I have a 1998 Cherokee XJ that I bought in Arizona and built up, a 1998 Corvette C5 that is chipped and has Borla exhaust, a 2019 RAM Laramie as a daily, and now a Mustang. After the kid's college bills were paid off, I got more serious with the hobby (yeah, I'm kinda old, and now I'm retired). For the last 10 years or so, I've been trading them in on something new about every 18 months.
This is my first Mustang, a GT Premium M6 with the Performance Package. The Ford engineers definitely got the active rev match right! It's a blast to use. After having Camaros, a Challenger and Corvettes, I am very impressed with the quality and performance of the car. I test drove a 2019 Bullitt a couple years ago but bought a Challenger instead. I just couldn't get the Mustang out of my head, so naturally it was next up on my list. I have some very good friends that run Mustangs (James Gang Racing) and they were giving me good advice all these years LOL. They are exceptionally spirited cars.
The incredible used car market right now made it a no brainer, getting $1500 more for my trade in than what I paid new for the Challenger Wide Body Scat Pack. This wonderful Mustang was available so I nabbed it and still put $500 back in my pocket. That $500 will be gone shortly in mods though! So far, I've had the windows tinted and have Eibach Pro-Kit springs on order. I also added some permanent tire lettering last night to brighten up that dead space of the black wheels.
I'm looking forward to perusing this forum and soaking up all the great information about Mustangs in general.
