New member,1994 V6 Sport Saleen
Hi, I am Pat from Charlotte, NC. During a recent search for other V6 owners I noticed there are questions concerning a car I own.
I purchased the car in August 1994 from Young Ford in Charlotte. At the time they were an authorized Saleen dealer, and had four Saleens in stock. Two Lazer Red, one coupe and one convertible, and two dark green (don't know the color name), also one coupe and one convertible. My particular car is the Lazer Red Coupe with black and charcoal interior. It has Racecraft suspension, a Tremec transmission, short throw Hurst shifter, and 17"x8" Saleen Speedline wheels. The car had 4000 miles on it when I purchased it (I am the second owner) and now has 38,160. The car has an Alpine security system, leather grained shifter **** and silver/gray stripes. The gauges are black faced; going forward Saleen used white faced gauges. It also has a unique spoiler as this is the first car in production of the 29 produced (I have a letter from Team Saleen stating it was the very first V6 Sport produced by Saleen on 4-14-94). The dash is signed by Steve Saleen. The car was debuted at Charlotte Motor Speedway at the 35th Mustang Anniversary. The car is on page 144 of Brad Bowling's Saleen book, on the cover of the Team Saleen newsletter Spring/Summer 1994, in Mustangs and Fast Fords 8-94, Mustang Times October 2002, and Mustang Monthly July 1994. The V6 Sport was only made for 1994 and was then discontinued. These Saleens are not serialized. The car has a 10 disc CD changer, 373 gear, dual exhaust, and 7 lb. Vortech. Thanks so much.
