New gal seeking a new ride

I'm Anji. I am new to the forum and searching for my first mustang. I had the pleasure of driving a V8 mustang convertible this week and I'm sold. I need one in my life! I'm looking for a 2010-2014 single owner V8 convertible. I'm in Michigan, if you happen to know anyone in the area who is looking to sell. Happy driving!

welcome to the forum and happy shopping; Mustang shopping is one of the funnest things ever

Be aware that the 2011+ models got the new "Coyote" V8 which has about 410 HP, versus 325 for the older V8 in the 2010. If that extra 100 ponies makes a difference to you, then you want a 2011 or later car; I would skip 2011 and go straight to 2012 or higher. Also there was a styling change on the front and back end in 2013.

Thanks! I see the difference in the 2013 now... 2012 might be my year! I looked at a 2007 that is rather intriguing as well, but it's missing some of the trim features of like to have. I'm sure the search will be fun, but likely a hard won lesson in patience. Warm days are near!

Welcome and hope your search is as fun as it would be for me.

One other thing to consider is that the 2013 & 2014 not only got a styling change, but they also got a small improvement in horse power. There were some other changes that I feel improved the car...

Here is a write-up on the changes between 2012 and 2013:
https://www.cjponyparts.com/resource...s-2013-mustang

A Few of options I would look for are:
-Track Pack (Will have Brembo front brakes and cooling fins on the rear axle gear box)
-Glasstop (I love mine, one of my favorite upgrades, available 2009-2014)
-401A interior. (Upgrade of Deluxe model interior.
Will have a pony on each door panel upholstery and a center stripe in the seats, white, blue, or red.)
-Recaro Seats (maybe, sit in them to know if you like the fit)
-If no Recaro seats(they have no power or seat warmer options), look for additional power seat on passenger side
-Pony Puddle lights on mirrors (Deluxe models)

Wish you the best of luck finding the perfect car for you.
