I got my stripes done yesterday. They are 10 1/2" wide with a 1" gap. I ended up going with medium charcoal metallic, 7 year, 3M material.
They were done at Ron Jovi De-Kels locally. He mainly does race cars. I am pleased with how they turned out.
I wanted to post better pics but its been snowing here all morning.

It looks good!! I have been debating getting strips added to my car , so far I have no decision. Of course I have the pearl color mustang strip on the side, I think any other color strip on the car may clash color wise. One question though, why did they cut out the space for the tag on the front? Did they do that on purpose or are the strips just manufactured that way ?

He custom cut the stripes. I did not ask for it that way but I did make the statement that I had a nice tag that I "might" put on. I suppose he assumed I would be tagging it and I probably will now. Possibly because the vinyl will not lay flat on that part. I was not crazy about that either.
He also redid the Mustang decal on the side to match the new stripes.

Donna,

I like the Mustang script on the trunk lid, nice touch. Did he do that as well?

I could see that area as being a problem for the stripe material, a custom tag on the front will finish it off nicely. Did they match the color of the Mustang stripe on the side or did they change the color of the side stripe to match the main stripes? That has been my only hold out, if that won't be a problem I think I'm real close to making a decision, thanks. I also like that Mustang script on the deck lid, very nice!!!

05V6, They changed the side stripes to match the main stripes. They were not a problem to change and they are exactly like the factory ones.
He also did the Mustang script out of the same material.
Thanks for the compliments!!

Donna - it all looks great! The snowy background must have been totally for your photo shoot! I bet you're hoping it melts soon.

I think your car looks great. I wonder what an '05 would look like with the M U S T A N G block-type letters would look like from the '69-'70 decklid. Either decals or the chrome metal ones. Anyways, you made a great color choice with the stripes, and my only pet peeve about them or any of the other stripes I've seen is when they are cut around the license plate area. :bang: It just drives me crazy, but I realize it's probably difficult to make it look perfect over that indent. Also, the only thing I would change is the front edges of the side M U S T A N G stripes looks like it should have been angle cut like the back edges are where it meets the wheel arch. That's just me though. Once again, great looking car. Definately the best looking V6 I've seen to date. :headbang:
