My New Pony!
My New Pony!
Hey everyone! I am officially back in the Mustang stable with my new 2008 V6 Premium Pony which I took delivery today. It's great to be back in the Mustang family again.
My very first car was a 1976 Cobra II V8 white with blue stripes which I owned from 1980-83.
My second Mustang was a 1994 V6 Covertible in Laser Red which I owned from 1994-96.
My last Mustang was a 1999 V6 Coupe in bright red.
My new White Pony is very nostalgic of my first car. The Mustang has come a long way since my old Cobra II and it just keeps getting better and better.
If you have suddenly seen me posting on these forums lately it is because of the high anticipation that I was getting my Mustang...
I decided that the changes to the upcoming 2010 Mustang were not exciting enough to pass up a good deal on a 2008 model. I see it the same as the 1965 Mustangs being timeless but not obsolete in design despite being changed in subsequent model years through 1970.
These forums have been fun and informative to read and I am happy to have joined.

Welcome! Nice looking stang!
Welcome! Got to love the HP. (performance white)
Welcome and congrats on your new ride!!
The most awesome thing today I realized is that today I was doing the exact same thing I was doing in 1981.. Driving a white Mustang and listening to Stevie Nicks' Edge of Seventeen... The only difference was back in 1981 I had the Cobra II and was listening to the song on an 8-track tape player. Today I was driving the new Mustang while listening to the newest version of Stevie's Edge of Seventeen complete with Waddy Wachtel still doing the guitar rifts accentuated by the urgent string section of the Melborne Symphony Orchestra....
