Hello all.
Just wanted to come out here and talk about my new Mustang. Got it last week (May 23rd) from a local Dealer here in North Carolina. I had originally ordered the car from another dealership, but there was no guarantee that I would get an '05. Someone had ordered this car originally, then backed out. I lucked out due to the help of a couple friends who happen to have spotted the car.
Legend Lime Green w/ Dark Charcoal Cloth Interior (would have wanted leather, but thats ok) 5-speed(been 20 years since I drove a stick and it shows, badly!!)
Base interior package.
Painted bullets (will be replaced with chrome bullets)
NO SPOILER !!!! (Actually ordered this way, which is what I wanted)
I plan to do a little moding on the car, a little at the time.

Congratulations! I like your color choice and options. Sounds eerily familiar! 
I wonder if this was ONE of the Mustangs ordered in my name here in Richmond!

The car was ordered and delivered to a dealership in Rocky Mount, NC. I am a new Ford Mustang owner. I USE to be a GM/F-Body person until I got abandoned. I always liked the older body style of the mustang and was happy to see they brought that styling back for 2005+..[

I am new to this forum and I need to ask a question of those of you who have been here a while. It is my understanding that a while back a purchaser of the new mustang and member of this forum ran into the same thing that I have run into. Apparently this purchaser was Ford-plan eligible and had purchased a Mustang through a Detriot area dealership using his plan. At lhe last moment the dealership attempted to force him to take "mandatory dealer options" at unbelievable mark-up in an effort to increase dealer profit. Is anyone aware of who this memeber might be or aware of this situation. I need to speak with him/her as the same thing has happened to me and I would like as much ammunition as possible before I go to Ford with the complaint. Thanks.
