My first Mustang(s)
Hello all, my name is Matt and I live in upstate NY. I've been in love with mustangs since I was about 6 when my Uncle took me for a ride in his restored 65 convertible.
When I was 18 my second car was an 86 6 cyl LX convertible. My love affair grew. The car had problematic overheating problems but I loved that car. When I was about 22 I bought a 99 6 cyl convertible. Upgraded the exhaust to dual and cold air intake. That car was never without 3 or so girls as we cruised around town.
What I really always wanted was a classic mustang. Last august I made that dream come true. A 66 I6 convertible. Holy crap I love this car as much as I thought I would. It needs love and that was part of the deal for me looking for such a car. Since then I have cleaned it up, replaced the front end components and enjoyed taking it to work on sunny days. A nice classic cruiser. Very different from the 99...but I think better. I look forward to meeting you all and hearing your advise as I work through repairs and other general work. It's nice to know there are so many others that feel the same way I do.
