Hi,
Here's my 1992 Nissan Maxima. I was making a Car-toon of it, so i thought i would post some real pics. I got ger 4 years ago during my senior year. It was a gift from my dad when I got accepted to a university. cost him 4K.
It's all stock, except the hood, the radio, the Led Zeppelin decal, and it's lowered a bit to take away the ugly stance it had. Previous owner lowered it and changed the hood (nothing special really). Me and my dad hooked up the new radio
Driver side of the car has a big scratch on the rear from someone backing up into it so i tried to stay away from showing that. There are chips in the rear bumper from my family parking behind it when it was out of commishion for a while (Transmission).

Car-toon of my Maxima

Hey, where's the RADIO?!?

oooooh, there it is :P

Like I said it has some go. that torque is really nice to have lol
0-60: 9. something 1/4: low 17's

what really surprised me was the price this car had in 1992: $20,425 base

I guess
When compared to other Japanese sedans from 1992, the Nissan was about 7K more.

It does have the same engine that the 300ZX had that same year

5.0L Mustang back then was a lot less. Heck, even Cobra in 1993 was cheaper.

i know... it is weird. It even costed more then than a new 2005 Mustang V6.
It does have a nice fit and finish feel, nice Bose speakers, real comfortable. But if i was living in '92 it probably wouldnt be my first choice lol.
The good thing is my father only paid 4K

But those cars can last forever, I don't think your dad made mistake when he bought it. My mom have 1994 Toyota Camry with 3.0L V6 and currently with 120,xxx miles. Runs like new.
If it wasn't underpowered, ugly, and borning to drive, maybe I would get one, too.
I really like 1992-1995 Honda Civic and I was thinking to get one while I'm at college because I'm spending each week minimum $40 for gas, but I loved Mustang too much to do that.
