my 69, its just fine (mostly)

Hey guys I'm new. My mustang is a 69 gt fastback, dropped in a 427 ford racing engine. Insane,520+ bhp, 700+ torque. When it's working. Got an electrical prob, turns over, tested coil and dist cap work. Im not prepared to go through the miles of wires, so turning it over to the pros. 10.5 1/4 mi anyonegot stats to compare? Looking for fasrest street legal mustang around...

Oh, and it's probably just a ground. I don't know where they all are. Does anyone know?

Mods: GT Carpets (to keep the originals intact)

Thank you! Its viper blue with black stripes. Spent 5 years on it. Its got a cool little bit of history too! I bought it as my high school car. I had also bought a 427 cobra motor to drop in. I had to sell it 'cause I had a job(It isn't practical as a carpenter car). 20 years later, the guy I had sold it too came to me and asked if I would buy it back. He had sold the cobra engine for 1k, and it's really worth 21k. He had also wrecked the car, completely totaled it(It made me cry to look at it). Now 5 years and 100+k later... its still not finished. Just got the interior and the little problem with the engine though!

whats up with the hood- looks like a mach1 scoop on top, but bottom side says its functional? is it a 'glass hood?

Absolutely beautiful car, best looking body of all to me was the 69FB, that blue was a excellent choice. I'm partial to the wing/slats look, but dont know if I'd change a thing

wish I had the time and money to start on mine...

What to do with it? You do whatever you want - its yours. Ida gone white stripes with that Viper Blue (one of my favorite auto colors) but black works on it, too. It looks like iPhone pictures or to little light, but the color still pops out.

I'm actually somewhat familiar with that electrical, as I had a '69 Galaxie - both used the same shop manual that year, I believe. Lets see:

Can you pull a plug and see it it has spark?

Also, Who did the motor?

There is intermittent spark, if any. Its probably shaking the ground in and out when it turns over.

It's a ford racing 351 block, bored/stroked to 427. MSD Coil, dist cap, Spark plugs, and ignition.
