Just introducing myself!
Hey everyone! I am new... I am 19 years old and bought my dream car off of an family friend who has done an amazing job so far. It is a 2001 SVT Cobra. One of 556 silver coupes made in 2001! I will do my best not to leave anything out... To start off the original motor blew due to a cheap under drive pulley that was installed before my friend purchased the car. It had no harmonic balancer and the water pump gears eventually shattered due to the extra vibration and well you can guess the rest. Completely seized the motor! We installed a full 2004 Mach 1 drivetrain but swapped in the cobra intake cams. Gained 30hp on the motor swap! I do however miss the old cobra intake lid! Had to part out old motor to make some money back and it was one of the items that had to go!!! Eventually I will find one and reinstall it. We did keep the valve cover SVT bezel that has the signatures!
Mods:
Cold air intake routed down to the second open fog light hole.
Bassani high flow catted x pipe
Flowmaster American thunder series cat back exhaust
4:10 gears
Bama performance sct tuner (dyno tuned)
FR500 wheels
Nitto extreme zr (285-35-18 rear) and (265-35-18 front)
Maximum Motorsport caster/camber plates
D-Spec shocks
Lowering springs
Subframe connectors
I'm sure there is some more I'm not thinking of but yeah that's my car and she does just fine!
1/8 mile in 8s
1/4 mile in 12.6s
Dynoed at 335rwhp
Simulated 1.04 lateral Gs in handling
There are faster cars out there for sure but I love my car and the motor hasn't had anything done to it other than the cam swap. She is naturally aspirated and will beat a stock termi! Glad to be one of you guys and I hope to offer as much feedback that I can to things I know well, and will try not to whine too much about problems of my own haha.
Thanks,
Kevin N.

Welcome to TMS! Congratulations on the Cobra, that's really cool. I love the 01 Cobra's in Silver!
It sounds like you already have a lot of great modifications so far! What are your future plans for this beast?

Thanks everyone! As of right now my plans are to finish paying the car off. I am doing some small audio work but after that I will be looking into an aluminum lightweight flywheel and driveshaft, steeda under drive pulleys, and some other small things. I don't plan on touching the motor. For a 19 year old, I think it's got quite enough hp.
