Well, last week I purchased my Screaming Yellow Mustang GT. I've got to say, Ford really did a great job on this car. I've been a devout Chevy guy, but when it came time to purchase a "new" car, the Mustang was the only choice!

Unfortunately, to fund the purchase I had to sell my beloved 540ci big block '70 Chevelle. I'm coping though. I just ordered a Saleen supercharger so that should ease the pain a little.

I've lurked for a while before making my purchase and this is a great site. Lots of great info here. You'll probably be hearing quite a few questions from me since I'm not up on these "modern" FI engines.

Now I've just got to get rid of these 20" wheels the dealer made me get. Anyone interested?

Hi Ben and welcome to the Ford World. I too had Chevys before this (My first car was a 67 Camaro) and now this 05 Mustang is my first Ford.

I love it! There was no other option when I went to purchase a new car.... Hate that you had to sell your Chevelle though... my dad would have a stroke. :nono:

welcome to the site... and post pics when you can!

Oh, and of course, a few nanners for you and your new Mustang GT

Welcome!!!

I love Chevelles!!! You'll have to post some pics of it sometimes! We're all just muscle car guys, we even have a resident GTO member who's real cool!

I'm glad to hear you bought a Stang, and that Saleen S/C should definetley numb the pain quite quickly!

I'm a first time Mustang owner only because I really never fit in the earlier models that I sat in! For a Mustang I would say that this car is "roomy"!

That helped sell me. At 6'7" it's usually a tight fit. I've got enough room in this one (there could always be a little more).
