I have been reading post on here for a while and finally joined. This is a great site with lots of info.
My first car was a red 1974 Mustang II (showing my age a bit) I've had a few Mustangs through the years and just traded in my 09 Edge Sport for a 2011 race red GT back in February and the mods have not stopped

That '74 is sweet!! And those vintage pics are awesome, thanks for posting those. 1976 was my senior year in college. Graduated, got married, got my first job and went off to conquer the world in my '70 Mustang. I bet you wish you still had that '74.

 

Thanks. It was a great first car but it was so slow, 2.3 auto LOL. My dad would not let me get a V8, I guess he knew better and made me start out with a 4 banger. LOL. I ended up painting the car blue and white and selling it so I could get a new 1978 Pinto Crusing Wagon.

 

My 1970 Mustang was the car my dad bought for me and him when I turned 16. 250ci straight 6, 3spd manual, AM radio and nothing else. I begged him to get the Boss 302 but he was a smart man. If he had bought the Boss back then, I would never have my Boss now. I would have been in the grave for at least 40 years now.

 

me too, I guess we had smart dad's lol. I got my Mustang when I was 15, my dad paid half and I paid the other half, he drove it about a year until I was old enough to drive. (good deal for both of us) I wanted a older Mustang but he found the 74 and it was only 2 years old.
