Today, I finally gave in ,I got rid of my 05 Escape lease and bought an 05 Stang. Forty years ago I bought I bought my first Mustang, when I was in my third year of teaching and a dashing 24 years of age. Now I am retired, divorced, living common law and Happy. I took the plunge, bit the bullet and bought my fifth Mustang. God love Canada, because we've got plenty of stangs to go around! I just put 200km on a gt deciding if it was I wanted. I drove it in snow and slush and it was superb. Too bad I didn't really like the legend lime colour!
My dealer and I found the car of my dreams, windveil blue, auto, iup, light graphite leather, bullits and racing stripes.
I am going near the dealer tomorrow and will check it out. If it is the real thing, next day it's Mine!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah! I got killed for an extra$4500,but I 'm not a four door, trucky kind of guy. I probably would have $$ to spare in the bank today, but I admit it ,I'm sick! I love cars , I have had about 35 new cars since I was 21. Hopefully (please Lord ) I'll be happy and stick with this one ,cause it's going to be a classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new better half has a mustang vert (03) and thought we should have a more practical car. Plus I was way over in mileage on my previous lease. So I Leased the Escape. Great vehicle, but not what I wanted.Actually she loved it, but wouldn't trade her stang for it so a guy has to do what a guy has to do. Women have to learn that you can't separate boys from their toys and expect to live happily ever after! Gosh , I hope she doesn't check up on my emails! Just kidding , she,s the BEST!11111111111

I had to give my 02 stang to my fiance in order to get my 03 vert, which I traded in on an 05. Now I take care of two stangs. My wallet is smaller now too. Yes I bought 3 stangs in 3 years! Call me crazy.
Loved the vert, but I do not miss the noise level from the street.

I drove to Brampton (west of Toronto) today for my dealer. I worked for them for a couple of years after I retired from teaching and now do the odd dealer trade or errand for them . This was great because my destination was only a few minutes detour from the dealer we're trading a legend limeGt in order to get my car . I saw it ,sat in it ,started it up and checked the mileage. It had 126.9 kilometers on the clock. It has the upgrade wheels but we're going to switch to bullits back at my dealer. The racing stripe was not as good as I hoped and not as bad as I feared. It is different from the ones we're used to seeing on the forums. They are rather understated ,to say the least. They are only on the hood, roof and rear decklid . My dealer isn't charging me so maybe I'll leave them on and see if I cn stand them. Anyway the wife and I are doing the trade tomorrow. That means another restless night till the GT is safe in my garage. I'll see if I can post today's pictures.

You don't just stop being a caraholic overnight!
But the '05 Mustang is great "therapy".

Good for you, man! That's great. I want to see pix of your new car! It sounds NICE. I was happy to hear the car performed well in the slop. That means a lot to me because I'm giving up a car with all-wheel drive to get a 'Stang. My last GT, a '96 didn't fare so well in the snow. Had no traction control.
The Mustang and I are kind of linked; I was born on April 8, 1964, about the time the Mustang was unveiled during the World's Fair. So we've both been around for the same amount of time. Only, the MUSTANG is a classic! I'm just 40 years old.
