Hi from the Southwest desert
Just joined today, but have been reading for the last couple of weeks. I don't currently have a Mustang, but am looking at getting an S197 in the next year or so. My current car is shaped like a toaster, and that's all I got to say about that, except that it's about as fast (or slow, perspective and all) as one too.
25 years ago, my brother gave me a Mustang for christmas. A '69 fastback with a 302/2bbl and a C4. I sold it 8 or so months later and bought... a different car using the excuse that it would work better when we moved to Washington state. Been into those ever since, but have always had in the back of my mind to get another Mustang. Love the 69/70's, foxbody's (we had a turbocharged '79 Capri in '84ish, cool car with its red on red color scheme, but it got blown up from lack of oil) and the S197's. Noone likes the Mustang II
, and the 94-04's do nothing for me.
I've always thought "A real musclecar has 8 cylinders, 3 pedals and 2 doors". So I'll definately be looking for a GT with a stick.
Thanks for reading.
