Hi from Australia
Hi from Australia!
We are the Cairns family and we have an aussie '97 Ford Fairmont Ghia sedan that we are modifying. Modifications already done include a vapour injected LPG (propane) conversion, a Webasto Hollandia 400 suroof and window tint. We have also purchased a big brake conversion (330mm Cobra front rotors) which will go on when we have had our bodywork done (guards will all be rolled all round)
Our ride has a 5.0 EFI windsor which is stock atm. We intend to leave it stock internally and add an aftermarket exhaust and an Eaton M122 supercharger on the stock, modified intake manifold. The thing is that this motor was imported by Ford Australia for this car from Ford America and is said to be a Mustang motor
Given that, can someone please tell us which motor we have in realation to the "Mustand by model year" forum. We have a 5.0 Windsor V8 with (as they're known over here) E7 heads and HO intake manifold. Our car was new in March 1997 so I'm guessing the motor could have been made anywhere from mid to late 1996 on.
Cheers

Hello Australia!!
Good-aye Mates: Can't really help you with engine your question. Maybe some Ford production experts could chime in? Just want to welcome you aboard TMS. Great to know that we have some good Ford family ties, coming in from you "Great Bloaks" down under! If you have any time, forward some engine/body pictures of your '97 Ford project. So to educate us Yanks, on your build. CalStang
P.S. Served over in Vietnam and did a few "CP" Op's with the Australian's! Great Lads, all!! A tough bunch of mates too. Thanks Guys!! "RC"
