Hello from Texas
Hello all,
I became the owner of an Orange Competition Boss 302 with the Torsen differential option two days ago.
Average MPG in mixed conditions (town/country) has been 19 MPG for the first tank of gas. She needed her first fill up after 255 miles. Do you find the mileage figures improve after the car is broken in?
So far I have not done anything too silly, as my dealer in North Texas recommended to take it easy during the first 1000 miles. I have been impressed by the handling on tight roads, though: she is a big girl, but she knows how to dance! And this is coming from someone who also drives a Lotus Elise. The difference in philosophy between the two cars is interesting... .
I am looking forward to benefiting from your Wisdom about the Boss, ladies and gentlemen, and will contribute my own observations if it looks like they could be useful to the community.
Cheers,
BossInTexas

Welcome! Never believed much in the 1000 mile break-in period completely. After doing a bit of research I decided on this, no extended WOT and no cruise control for the 1st 1000. Then read in the manual where it said not extended WOT for the 100, I think. Trip home from the port was over 400 miles so once I read that it was on! First 1000 miles no track, per the manual. I'm the garage for the winter now, but looking forward to spring.

Hello from Texas
Any group, Mustang club in the North Texas area? Also curious to know whether there are any Mustang-specific events held at Cresson or Eagles' Canyon.
Cheers.

Thanks for the link. Beach Street is in my general neck of the woods; I'll check it out.
