Hello from Riverside, California

Hey everyone. I'm Derry. Joined the forum as I have been a huge mustang guy for a while now and wanted to join a mustang community. I'm 22 years old, and actually grew up in a chevy family, but meh, I'm into fords. Now, I wanna say, I know I may get hate, but I don't actually own a mustang yet. I've been working for awhile, and building up for my first actual owned car. Been driving since 2007, but now I've decided to work up for a mustang since my dad has his own and thats what really got me into mustangs as well. Anyways I hope this intro comes off ok and hope to talk to you all and learn from the forums.

Thanks. My dads gt is all stock. It's a 2006 gt convertible, lots of wear and tear on it too so Im going to be helping him do a mild restoration on it.

Nice! You're close lol. Finance wise, my goal down the line is to get around 12,000, and maybe look at a mach 1. 2003-2004. I have 5000 now so it'll be awhile but I'm getting there. I had considered getting a foxbody to build up, so that is still an option for me. Any advice? I am building up money but its gonna take alot of patience.

Having had a F-body(1992), new edge(2002) and now a S197(2005) I would do a 05-09 GT before anything else. I like the look of the 05-09 mustangs better then the newer versions and they are way more comfortable and handle better then my f-body or new edge ever did.

S197s do handle pretty good. Only issue I have with them, at least the convertible model (my dads gt convertible) is the ride is a bit harsh especially over bumpy surfaces. Oh well. We're talking v8 powered pony cars, not luxury cars lol.
