Hello From Oregon

Hello all, I'm a first time Mustang owner, well sorta... from Corvallis, OR. I placed an order for a silver 2013 GT Auto Trans with Recaros and the Brembo Package on August 16 and for whatever reason, my build hasn't even been scheduled yet. I was given a 60-90 day estimated delivery window which will be surpassed at the end of this week. I am going nuts! Are these cars in high demand? Who do I blame? Low production? Hurricane Sandy? Obama? (JK LOL).

Here is the reply I got today from my dealer:

"Dear ****,

Good afternoon. Your 2013 Ford Mustang is scheduled to be built starting on January 7th 2013. We can't figure way it is taking so long. Generally they are built with-in 90 days. It is a clean scheduled order.

I will keep you posted on any further progress.

Thank you very much,"

5 months is unacceptable! I am a pretty patient guy, but waiting almost half a year for a mass production vehicle is crazy. I don't know what I should do. I'm not the kind to make a complaint to Ford, but that is where it seems to be heading.

I can imagine your frustration. You can contact Ford ( asking for information isn't complaining) and have them give you answers since your dealer doesn't have them. Or find one in your area. either way, Welcome to the Forum!
