Greetings from Ontario
Hello all,
My name is Mike, I'm 37 and I've been a Mustang owner since I was 16. I live in Milton Ontario, Canada and this current pony is number 4 to grace my stables.
I started with a 1986 2.3l auto black with grey trim and she was my baby. Drove her for 3 years in high school and sold her to my dad.
A year later I purchased a 1988 GT Cobra. Painted her black, removed all the badges and replaced some of the aging Recaro interior with original parts. She was sold after a couple years and a complete restoration.
In 1998 I grabbed a 2 owner 1985 GT with T-tops in Ontario Orange. This was built up by it's second owner to drag and boy could she fly. I never took it out to a track but she never lost in town.
She met an untimely demise in a rainstorm but all involved survived and I chalk that up to the upgraded frame rails.
I currently own a Grabber Blue 2012 Mustang MCA V6 with a MT-82 6 speed transmission. Black Leather festoons the interior and a Shaker 500 with upgraded Hertz 140 watt 5x7s up front powers the tunes. A little dynomat in the doors helps keep the vibrations down too.
I got her on December 8, 2011 and have put more than a few miles on her. She is my daily.
Upgrades include GT front fascia and CS lower valence with the Saleen grille. Steeda is right around the corner from me so the following are from them: Throttle body spacer, strut tower brace, gas hood strut kit, short throw shifter with cue ball ****, shifter base brace, light weight pulley, hood stripes (not installed yet) EBC 3GD slotted and dimpled front rotors and Hawk blue pads, SCT tuner with high octane tune and K&N air filter.
I spent a lot of time researching our manual transmission and the problems people have had. I have solved this in my car with the shifter upgrades. If anyone would like help please message me and I will do the best I can.
I do love this car and plan on doing a full suspension swap soon for track days. Next year a Pro Charger Super Charger!
If anyone lives in the GTA or Golden Horseshoe area please contact me I would love to meet other members.
