Hi all!
There are two things I thought I would never do in my life - Buy a new car or own a Mustang, yet I did both in one swing due to a series of circumstances and a changing market demographic.
I have always been a fan and owner of the larger American two-door rear wheel drive cars: Galaxie, Mark VIII, Marquis, Century... but as time goes on, these type of vehicles have been discontinued and limited to a select few. So when the circumstances permitted, I opted to get what I wanted (and the wife told me to do it, too!) and get a new 2012 Mustang GT with the Manual.
I though I would never buy new and it is certainly not for most people, but I always buy a car for the long run and keep them long past their expiration dates while maintaining them and treating them like some kind of metallic royalty. The dealer incentives and competitive internet shopping certainly helped me with my decision when the time was right.
I did my homework over a year until I was getting serious. Buy hey, I had a Lincoln with the modular block and I had enough miles to go to the moon (literally) and start back a few, too - and the best performing pony car with the cheapest price tag didn't hurt my decision either.
I also did some shopping forum-wise and this seems to be a pretty like-minded group of guys, so hello again and I'll be seeing you around.
