Yes. As long as you don't buy the huge flatscreen replacement stereos.

You'll want to get a wiring adapter harness to keep from messing w/ your stock wiring, and you'll likely need a mounting plate for the dash depending on what's in there now. Can you post a pic of your dash?

Harness yes. But he won't need a mounting plate

So then I assume 2000 was a single DIN radio?

Yup, that's a single DIN dash opening. I'd start by pulling the radio and seeing what is there. There's probably already a harness there since there's an aftermarket radio in there now. You might just be able to unplug it from your stock harness, then unwire the current radio from an adapter harness (that is hopefully there), rewire your new radio to the harness, and simply plug it back into the stock wiring.

And it's really not difficult. In my younger days I bought a new head unit from my local HiFi shop, pulled the stock radio in the parking lot, and wired in the new radio while at stoplights on my way home. Not smart, but just illustrating that it's not difficult if you can look at a picture and follow simple directions. I was surprised one day when I stopped by my girlfriends house and she was wiring in a stereo for her brother's car. She watched me do it a couple of times and then she could do it better than her brother... she's my wife of 10 years now.

Edit: and Cameron - why do you want to replace it? Are you sure that the Sony is better than what you have in there now? Different features?

I'll find you a guide. If you buy the harness its as easy as matching wire colors.

Metra stuff:
http://www.metraonline.com/part/99-5510
http://www.metraonline.com/part/70-5510
http://www.metraonline.com/part/70-5605
http://www.metraonline.com/part/70-5511

Likely the first and last is what you'll need... if there's not a harness in there, and I bet there is.

Here's the instructions: http://www.metraonline.com/files/pro...NST70-5511.pdf (PDF file)

So, using the radio you specified earlier, and it's instructions: http://www.docs.sony.com/release/CDXGT440U_install.pdf

You just do all the colors of the radio harness and the Metra harness together. Red to red, blue to blue, black to black (or the chassis directly), etc.

Once these are done up, you simply, literally, plug it in, and you're golden.

/not to steal Texas' thunder there... but I was a little bored, and wanted to help.
//Scosche harnesses/kits are also available, I used Metra for no reason.

Like I said earlier crutchfield has the harnesses for a perfect set up. If you need it. They also sell head units.
