First Mustang
Hi all,
I am originally from Houston, TX now living in Austin, TX. I am an Engineer at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. I graduated from Texas A&M with an Industrial Engineering degree. I have never owned a Mustang but have always wanted a RWD stickshift V8 coupe, and I believe that the Mustang GT is the best available in my price range.
I plan on ordering a 2013 GHIG Mustang GT base Manual Trans with Recaros, Track pack, and a spoiler delete soon. I think I am going to wait until late September or early October, and I hope to have it before Christmas as a nice little gift to myself.
I plan to autocross and run the car on tracks around Texas at HPDE club type days. My dream would be to take it on a road trip to Laguna Seca for a weekend club racing day or even Road Atlanta (My two favorite tracks to race in Forza 4 ).
I hope to be able to contribute here in the future and I appreciate all the help provided on forums like this.
John

Welcome to TMS, your future car sounds great.
Check out Driveway Austin for tracking your car. I have not been there but it looks great.

Picked up the car, Finally posting pictures.
I found this beauty in North Carolina thanks to Deysha on this site. It exactly had the options I wanted, saved me a little money versus ordering a '14, and I could have it immediately. I picked in up in January and absolutely love the thing.
Modifications will start in about a year when the car is entirely paid for, and will happen in this order:
1. Magnaflow Street axel back mufflers.
2. Forgeline GA1R Wheels in 19x10" size square setup with 295/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
3. Moton 3 way coilovers with Ford Racing anti-roll bars and adjustable panhard.
4. Ford Racing brake cooling ducts and Boss 302 LS front splitter.
After that, I'll be happy with the car on the street and track until things start to break, at which point I'll build it stronger and faster as I fix things.
