FINALLY! She's here!
#1
Well, I finally got my baby.
Her name is Bettie Page.
So I don't have to waste bandwidth repeating myself, here's her story.
However, I will waste bandwidth on important things like pics.
These were taken the day after I drove her back home.
She had lots of bug splatters, so I gave her a well-deserved first bath, and shined her up all pretty-like.
Busted out the Mother's wheel polish for those 'Blades.
Now, about the 1/4 window louvers: they were actually installed by the dealership.
I had never been sold on the look of louvers of any kind, but I have to admit, they really grew on me.
I thought I was going to have a problem with my blind spot, but honestly, the front windows are so long that not having the use of the back windows doesn't really matter.
I actually really like them now. Go figure.
I just wish the louvers were actually slotted.
Anyway, enough chatter.

Thanks.
I know around here, Tungsten GT Premiums with ICAP and Fanblades are not all that unique anymore, but I haven't seen any on the roads.
And I drive 70 miles to and from work every day. Most of which is highway driving.
As a matter of fact, it's very rare to see any S197 GTs on the roads in my hood.
Having the other mindless worker bee motorists go when I drive by puts a nice smile on my face!

And I have to say, I absolutely love Tungsten.
The color looks different every time I look at it.
On a sunny day, it's almost silver.
At night, those subtle purpleish hues really come out.
And the highly reflective metal flake in the paint really captures the surrounding colors.
Check out the blue sky reflecting in her hood.
Not a hint of purple to be found.
