Smile Down in Louisiana

Hi everyone,
New here, but not to Mustangs. My brothers and I restored ‘60s and ‘70s Mustangs over the years. Regrettably we’re now too old to continue. So, I found a newer “turn key” model to enjoy with my wife. I found a low mileage 2011 Candy Red / Stone Int. GT Convertible.
And I’m loving the powerful 5.0. Enjoy the ‘Source’!

Very nice! Love the color of you S197 vert! Very nice looking car! Welcome to The Mustang Source.

Those 1971-1972 restores look very sharp! Great job, and that is a great looking garage too! I can see you are a convertible guy. 😀

Welcome aboard and congrats on your recent purchase of your new to you 2011 RedCandy GT vert... She looks in real pristine condition, to say the very least... Also really liking the "71" and "72" verts you have, as you and your brother did such a fantastic restoration on them...

Meanwhile, also thanks for sharing those awesome photos of your Mustangs

Thanks fellas. Its still a great hobby, evolving through the years …!
A close friend up Manchester, PA., informed me of the red gt convertible, one owner (little ol lady)
trade-in. He checked it out for me and had ‘em put it ‘up on the rack’. Its never seen snow, no rust. 28k miles. Im really liking this car.

Below is my younger brothers’ 73 Q code he’s had for many years. Still in show condition.

thanks,
Eric

WOW! Can't help but notice how you and your brother are so fond of the 71-73 convertible models, but I can surely understand your reasoning, as they're indeed very nice convertible models without a doubt

Welcome, Eric, and congrats on the great 2011 find. Love seeing those 71-73 Mustangs. Some folks say Ford "stumbled" when they came out with those models. But I say that without them (and the Mustang II's), Ford's pony car could have disappeared like smoke, instead of becoming a 50+ year heritage.

You and your brothers have made a difference maintaining that family line. Well done.
