Everyone’s heard of the guy who newly enlisted in the military and instantly buys a mustang. Hi, that’s me! This is my 2013 GT 6 speed. This is definitely an upgrade from my Jetta. I couldn’t be happier. From what I can tell the only mod the previous owner installed is a banging magnaflow exhaust, that’s it, Clean slate! So I was curious about some of the performance mods. I’d love some recommendation. So far I was thinking possibly lower springs, different intake manifold, cold air intake? I’m open minded. Glad to be here!
Being in the Military you Could Be Stationed Anywhere I Presume. I would advise against any Mods which would not be Legal in a New State. Here in California we are really Limited to changing anything unless it is CARB Approved. This Could Really Turn into a Can of Worms down the road! Every State is Different!
I merely Suggest that you Enjoy the Car as it is for a while and Choose Wisely where to spend your Buck! Keep her Maintained and Reliable for Enjoyable Drives Anytime you like. It will be more expensive to maintain than a Jetta. {That's Just this Old Gear Heads Opinion} It's a Beautiful Ride as is but I know many like to make their car their Own. So again Choose wisely!
If you Don't have Covered Parking a Nice Car Cover might be an Investment to Look Into! Need to Keep that Beautiful Black Paint Looking Good!

From one vet to another, thank you very much for your service... Also welcome aboard and agree with your proposed mod list, as those are all very nice options to start with, including the suspension...
Meanwhile, thanks for also sharing a photo of your "13" GT, she's definitely a real head turner, to say the very least
Welcome to TMS,.....................thank you for your service.
Rather than just throw $$$$$$$$$ @ the car, make an end goal & budget.
Buy once & done,.............there is no money in used parts !!
