Bonjour !
Hi everyone !,
I am Sebastien, 32, a little french guy who lives in Las Vegas, NV.
Since I was a little boy, I always dreamed about muscle cars and sporty cars, but as you can imagine, back in France, it's pretty hard to daily drive big V8's.
So, pretty soon, my dream will come true with some advices from you guys![Wink](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Thanks and au revoir.

What do you think ?
OK, so I need some advices :
I found a 2006 GT with 93000 miles on it and has the stick shift. I test drived it, it seems pretty strong and fast (the clutch seems very hard to push though, I think it is not the stock one) it has "pypes" catback (I know flowmaster, borla etc, but pypes ???) and some kind of air induction, the rear tires are good to be changed, it doesn't have the leather inside.
The guy wants $11500 for it, what do you think about this deal ?
The carfax says that the car had a little damaged on the rear back then but nothing big obviously.
Beside this one, I found as well a 2005 gt convertible with a supercharger. But first of all, what do you guys think about convertibles ? isn't a pain in the a-- to maintain, isn't it a lot heavier than the coupe ?
Thanks to all of you for your help and advices

Welcome! As for the two cars in question, the 2006 sounds like a good deal to me, if all is in good condition, especially if you could talk him down to $11000 even or so. The number one thing I recommend to anybody buying a used "performance" car of any kind is to look for signs of abuse from the previous owner.. the fact that it has an aftermarket clutch and bald rear tires could indicate that is has been tracked hard...
Ask the guy to be honest with you about the car's history.
Oh, and pypes is a very popular exhaust brand, a lot of people use them and recommend them.
As for the supercharged car, a convertible is about 300 pounds heavier than the coupe I think, and I wouldn't want a convertible personally because its 55 degrees here today and pouring rain, but in vegas a vert might be nice. That's up to you to decide.
Again, it's important to know the honest history of the car and how it's been treated. The 4.6 3v motor can be very reliable when supercharged and tuned by someone who knows what he's doing, but it's all about the tune, a poorly tuned supercharged car can be a recipe for disaster.

Thank you so much Kevin.
For the history of the car, I have no idea because it is in a car dealer.
Today, I'm gonna check out another one, this one from a private though.
I will let you know guys

I work at a used car dealer, that's where I bought my Mustang from, and buying from a dealer can be good or bad, depending on the integrity of the dealership personnel. Definitely ask the dealer for a history report like a carfax or autocheck, and ask if they bought the car at auction or took it in on trade from the owner. If they took it in from the previous owner then they might know something about the car's history.

Thank you for the advice ![Wink](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I finally found a nice one I think. It is a 2006 mustang gt with 87000 miles on it, has a JBA exhaust and an air induction, some nice wheels with brand new tires. Inside, there is a very nice sound system.
It is a one owner car, I bought it from the original owner who is a 45 y old lady.
I pick this sweet baby tomorrow, I just can't wait![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Nice find! It's silver too! (I'm a little biased towards silver mustangs haha)
I hope you enjoy it!
Oh, by the way, I see it has Goodyear Eagle GT's, those are the same tire I run on my Mustang, I really like them.

Yes, the silver color is very nice on those mustang, I love it already.
For the tires, yeah they seem very nice and sticky
They are on 18" shelby wheels which I guess cost a lot.
What do you think about those JBA muffler, are they good ?

Yes that's right kevin, the car doesn't seems to have all her power. I'm thinking about buying flowmaster or borla pretty soon ...
But first, I have to figure out why my seat won't deflate for the lower back because right now it is very hard to drive like that. Then I have to do a wheel alignment 'cause the front right tire is used only on the inside part of it. Finally, I have to go in a stereo shop to check out the installation because it doesn't sound right to me.
Despite all those little details, I already love it ! I didn't try to push it yet, I still have to get use to all this power![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
By the way, the rear tires are falken's.

All right so the mustang is at the garage for a rebuilt alternator. So the guy is rebuilding it with better parts into it and he will install as well the lightweight pulley with the clutch. He told me that it will make a big difference ...
Do you know about this mod ?
